I’m James Altham, a Sydney-based writer, photographer, traveller, and business owner.
This website, jamesaltham.com, is my main blog and personal online home. Here, I share reflections on faith, creativity, photography, travel, personal growth, and everyday wisdom. I also write about the ordinary moments that help shape a meaningful life.
I’m also the Owner and CEO of Splash Colour Imaging, a Sydney large format print business. My work keeps me close to design, colour, photography, signage, retail display, and creative problem-solving. Through that work, I’ve learnt the value of detail, service, patience, and clear communication.
Beyond business, I’m drawn to photography, walking, travel, pilgrimage, art, and Christian spirituality. I enjoy noticing the small details of daily life. These might include the light in a quiet street, the rhythm of a morning walk, or the gift of a good conversation. Sometimes, they are as simple as the peace found in an ordinary routine.
My Christian faith is an important part of who I am. However, I try to write about faith gently and honestly. I do not write as someone who has all the answers. Instead, I write as someone learning to pay attention.
I’m especially interested in how God meets us in ordinary places. That includes work, solitude, friendship, creativity, gratitude, and the courage to begin again.
On this blog, you’ll find personal reflections on life, faith, travel, photography, creativity, and everyday wisdom. Some posts are practical. Others are reflective. Many are simply observations from everyday life.
At its heart, this site is about slowing down and noticing what matters. It is also about finding meaning in the life we already have.
Thanks for being here.
James
