I took Milo downstairs before bed to do his business on the lawn, and my neighbour was tinkering in his garage. I managed to snap this image, which I quite like. Some ordered chaos.
As I was walking today I came across these Ibis birds by the lake. It’s a busy photo but I do like the red tree on the right framing the image.
A friend of mine asked if I could take some photos of him for his gardening website. This is one of the photos from the shoot. I used my Nikon Z9 Camera with the Nikon Plena lens. I love the bokeh from this lens.
The Photo of the Day challenge is quite difficult when going about my usual day-to-day. This photo is in a hideous spot when I go for my lunchtime walk; the path goes under a motorway. The canal is littered with debris and rubbish from suburbia and has a distinctly unpleasant odour.
The Georges River in its morning best. There’s a specific stillness that only exists at the water’s edge before the rest of the world wakes up. Pure liquid gold.

Went downstairs with Milo this morning and got this glorious sky. I like how the lower clouds are quite ominous compared to the higher clouds lit up by the sunrise. A good contrast.
I took Milo, my mad dachshund, down to do his business before going to bed. I turned around to snap this photo as I headed back inside. Love the blue light from the TV in my neighbour’s room above.
A picture of the evening sun shining up the driveway, highlighting the shadows on the fence. Definitely not spectacular, but I like the different shapes and angles in the image.
As I exited a hotel in Hay, NSW, I saw the sunrise coming through the building. I managed to snap these few shots. This hotel was once an old pub, converted into accommodation only. Sad, as I was expecting a pub when I arrived, so I could have a beer at the bar.
I took this on a day when the temperature was 45ºC. Stinking hot. The location is on the Murrumbidgee River in Hay NSW. The Hay Bridge is in the distance. The shores of the river are studded with gum trees that have succumbed to the river and its erosion.
